On Thursday, we celebrate Juneteenth. This day serves as a reminder of the ongoing fight for racial equality and justice in today's world. It highlights the historical and systemic nature of racism and the need for continued action to address these inequalities. It also celebrates Black culture, resilience, and the importance of community.
Remembering our past helps us to build a better future. We look to this important lesson in our history as we stand against those who are actively working to oppress our democracy. The turnout for "No Kings" this past weekend was a powerful message that together our voice can rise above and against those who wish to suppress our rights.
"Peace cannot exist without justice, justice cannot exist without fairness, fairness cannot exist without development, development cannot exist without democracy, democracy cannot exist without respect for the identity and worth of cultures and peoples." Rigoberta Menchú Tum
Rebus Works understands togetherness will be our strength. We are adding more music, more events, and hopefully more lighthearted fun to our community. We are even stronger when we sing and dance together.
We've got some great musicians coming up, starting with Caroline Tanner this Friday. Next week will be our sweet pairing of Ambient Music Night and Vinyl Night, followed by groove-based band, Danger Hall.

Unfortunately, we rescheduled this past weekend's GOUGE Wrestling due to the bad weather. We've moved it to Sunday, July 13th, 2-4pm, so add it to your calendar!
