Just kidding, but you should’ve already ordered those merino wool jammers weeks ago so you can dine al fresco all winter! Now who wants Beaujolais?!
1. Beaujolais Nouveau Day Nov. 19th (click here for pronunciation)
Always clocking in on the 3rd Thursday of November, this fun little Francophile party celebrates the first juice of the season! Nouveau is super fruity, tart and drinks best with a chill. We’ll be slinging oysters and @codex_va will be on the grill working the cheeseburger game. Plus we got a special surprise to announce next week. It’s first come, first serve and we’ll have tons of BoJo No  delivering high styles between $15-30. (3 min education on Beaujolais)
2. Old Fashioned Week / Dec 1st - 6th
We’re getting nifty with a special menu this week featuring 10-15 Old Fashioneds (plus a few special high end selections). It’s gonna be super swell and we’ll donate a dollar from each cocktail sold to the ACLU. So come get righteous with us! PLUS all the syrups and bitters will be available in the Bottle Shop and you can recreate your favorite Old Fashioned at home. AND we’ll have some Old Fashioned/Manhattan Gift Sets if you want to get your favorite cocktail enthusiast some fancy equipment for the home bar!

Understanding Old Fashioneds
Video 1 - This showcases what NOT to do, unless you are in college.
Video 2 - History of the Old Fashioned through 5 drinks, please discuss...
Video 3 - Bonus video on clear ice, plus it has nice music.
3. Natural Wine Bottle Shop
As most of you might have seen, we converted our bar area into a Bottle Shop.  It's got tons of goodies and over 250 selections of natural wine - and yes the under $20 section kicks major vino ass!  Cheeses, charcuterie and snacks a plenty. Feel free to pick something out and enjoy on the patio or take home for movie night! We don’t even care if you like wine, just get up here and buy a bottle! (Also you need to remember us for Thanksgiving - bottles on the table!  We'll have special 4 packs catered to your family dynamic.)
4. Perro Blanco Expansion
We’re getting a little done each day and it’s moving along quite nicely. It will give us a nice sized kitchen and plenty of new seats in the dining room! Our current dining room is still open if you are planning to visit during inclement weather.  We may have a few days where the dining room is closed due to work, we hope to finish this expansion project before the end of the year.
LAST MINUTE GEMS
1. Carl Sagan On The Speed of Light - always good to hear about Einstein the dropout.
2. How To Use Every Japanese Knife - fun and educational video featuring some 14 cooking knives, a few we hadn't seen before.
3. Making Qvevri in Georgia - wine nerd alert!  10 min education on ancient wine fermentation and aging vessels.
