Broom Making Workshop + Danger Hall + Solo Sunday

ART AND MUSIC EXPLOSION (with snacks)
If you're a fan of music and art, we are coming up on some great events here at Rebus!

We're starting off with a weekend of music. Not only do we have Raleigh greats Danger Hall playing with us on Friday, we have a new group of artists who will be playing our Solo Sunday and helping you end your weekend on a high note. Scroll down for more information.

Next week, we roll into some classic music nights at Rebus: Ambient Thursday (9/25) and Vinyl Night (9/26). Ambient Thursday is great way to hear new artists on the electronic scene while keeping the night a bit more mellow. Vinyl Night will start your Friday off right and pump you up for fun with 60s British Invasion tunes.

We're very excited about the Boylan Arts District (BAD) Studio Tours on Sunday, 9/28. Ever wanted to see inside a working artist's studio? Now's your chance! The Raleigh Trolley (free!) will be taking you around the area to spaces and artists in the Boylan Heights neighborhood, where we're fortunate to have many phenomenal artists. It's the perfect time to add a local piece to your collection!

In October, the DIY/Punk Rock Flea Market is back with more vendors, more bands, and more fun! There's a great selection of artists and makers who will be giving you the Halloween vibes on Saturday 10/11 and Sunday 10/12.

And all of this will be so much better with some good SNACKS in your pocket! Scroll down to see some new ones that have hit the shop this week.

BROOM MAKING WORKSHOP
Craft your own broom and unwind after hours at Rebus Works!

Join Sarah Ann Austin of Legacy Prints and Paper as you learn the traditional Appalachian art of crafting a turkey wing whisk broom—beautiful, functional, and steeped in folk heritage.

Using durable, natural broomcorn and time-tested binding techniques, you’ll shape and assemble a stunning broom to take home. No prior experience is needed, just a willingness to learn and enjoy the process in a relaxed, welcoming environment.

Enjoy exclusive after-hours access to Rebus Works, Raleigh’s vibrant coffee shop, grocery, and art gallery, shared only with your fellow workshop participants for an intimate and creative evening. Your ticket includes all materials, expert guidance, and a coffee drink or beer of your choice to sip as you create.

Reserve your spot and make something meaningful with your own hands—perfect for gifting or adding a handcrafted touch to your home.

WE HEART SNACKS!

As you may know, we've got a thing for snacks around here. And because we indulge in snacks a bit more than we probably should, we want to make sure they're tasty and aren't filled with horrible ingredients.

Because of that, we search for products that contain the cleanest ingredients we can find. We make sure they're made by small companies who are making a difference in their communities. It just makes us feel a bit better...as we're shoving snacks in our mouths!

Here are our latest finds, and we hope you love them as much as we do!
THE MATZO PROJECT Matzo Ball Soup Kit
ONE TRICK PONY Peanut Butter
YAMMY Fruit & Vegetable Chips
BAJAVIDA Beef Jerky

DANGER HALL SERIES SPONSORED BY ARTET
Danger Hall will be here Friday night with their improvisational grooves with original and unexpected covers.

This month's guest is Dave Wright (of Countdown Quartet, Squirrel Nut Zippers, 6 String Drag, TONK, Boneslinger, and more) on trombone and vocals. This is the closest thing we'll get to an early 2000s Countdown Quartet reunion!

You won't want to miss this good time.

Friday, 9/19, 6-8pm

ARTET is excited to sponsor a monthly jazz series running through December, featuring complimentary jazz performances and an open bar where you can sample their inventive cannabis-infused creations. Don’t miss out!
ARTET - cannabis infused chamomile lemon spritz
ARTET is hosting an open bar, giving you the chance to sample the THC spritzer while you relax to two hours of live jazz. This month, we’re highlighting the chamomile lemon spritzer and crafting a unique mocktail just for you. Come by and experience both!
SOLO MUSIC SUNDAY
We've got some amazing solo musicians playing on Sunday. It's a great chance to see these performers who are just starting out. You can say you saw them before they got big!

Sunday's lineup:
