A Colorful Calendar for Dark Times 🗓️

ART-STROLOGY opened on Saturday, and it feels nice to have such a bright, colorful show on the walls after a(nother) rough week of news and current events.

Every piece is available as a 3-color Risograph print (aqua, flo pink, yellow) as well as a collected calendar with blank dates and blank days of the week, so you can use it for any year, and with whatever weekly format you prefer. Sunday-first? Monday-first? Want to be weird and start weeks on Wednesday for some reason? You can do it!

Availability is limited though, so don't wait if you think you want something! Here's a video reel of the show if you can't make it in person!

After School Programs

Unfortunately, both the teen series starting this week and the kids class this week were cancelled due to low registration.

The next teen series starts February 25, and there's another kids class every week. Please sign up ahead of time if you're interested!

Whether you work traditionally or digitally, Figure Drawing is a great way to practice form, shape, and anatomy with a professional model, as well as spend time with other creatives!

Wednesday, January 14, 3:30 PM: After School program for TEENS is CANCELLED for the multi-week series that would've started this week due to low registration. :( Please sign up early for future series if you're interested! This program is free/pay-what-you-can, but we need to know ahead of time how many people are coming and other info!

Thursday, January 15, 3:30 PM: Our After School program for KIDS is also CANCELLED this week for low registration. Unlike the teen series, these are one-off classes though, so you can sign up for NEXT WEEK! (Please do!)

Thursday, January 15, 6:00 PM: It can be hard to find time to write among the hustle and bustle of day-to-day life. Schedule time for poetry at Part-Time Poets' Club and find inspiration and camaraderie with fellow poets, too! 💻 FREE MEETUP.

Friday, January 16, 8:00 PM: Start the year off with a refresher on foundations, or maybe explore life drawing for the first time? Our monthly Figure Drawing session is a great way to experience drawing from life, establishing or re-establishing familiarity with form, figure, and anatomy, and just hanging out in a room with fellow artists. ✏️

Saturday, January 17, 10:00 AM: Inking: Brush, Washes, and White Space is a comprehensive crash course on inking with brush. Explore various techniques, brush types, ink dilution and more! 🪥

Saturday, January 17, 2:00 PM: Find out All About Gouache, from how to pronounce it to how to paint with it, and everything in between! 🌲THREE SPOTS LEFT.

RESTOCKPALOOZA IS HERE! Many of the things we hoped would arrive last week have arrived!! If you recall, that includes...
