Update from WellBody Massage about COVID-19

WellBody Massage

Update...
First of all, I want you to know I am grateful for you and and I miss you dearly!

I have been fielding many calls and texts about when I am going to be open for business.  I have told many of you that I was aiming for June 1.  As you may have heard, massage therapy has been allowed to open back up.  However, out of an abundance of caution and recommendations from the CDC and the two main massage therapy professional organizations, I am choosing to continue to pause my practice. At this time, with the recommendations, time, space and distance are the main concerns.  Your safety and the safety of our community is of the utmost importance to me.  As of now, I am looking to re-evaluate towards the end of June and hoping to open July 1

When I do return to practicing massage, things will be a little different in the office:
*As you enter the building, all clients will need to wear a mask, as well as during the massage. Please bring your own as I will not be able to provide one for you.  The only time you will not wear your mask during your session will be during your “face-down” time on the massage table.  I will be wearing a basic face mask as well.

*I ask for you to wash your hands before entering my office space, and as you leave from your massage.

*All clients will need to fill out a COVID-19 consent form before your appointment

*Please text or call when you arrive so I can let you in the building

*Please reschedule your massage if you have a fever, cough, sore throat.

*If you have been in contact with someone that has tested positive for COVID-19, or high impacted areas (per the KDHE website...Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New York, New Jersey, or been on a cruise or traveled internationally), please reschedule your appointment for at least 14 days after contact. Likewise, I will extend the same courtesy to you if I have symptoms or concerns

*Until further notice, in order to protect our more vulnerable populations, I will not be working on clients over the age of 65, those with a compromised immune system or in an elevated at-risk category

Here is what I will be doing to protect my clients and myself:
*Monitored Office cleaning - before, during and after I see clients, I will ensure that all surfaces that may be touched by clients will be disinfected, including door handles and chairs. In addition, public areas will be sanitized several times a day. Again, we keep a clean office, but we’re being especially diligent. The other practitioners in the building are following these same measures to ensure our entire space is safe.

*I will be changing clothes or wearing an apron that can be disinfected between clients

*I will be washing my hands more diligently than usual, before and after each massage

*Per usual, I will be changing out all linens between each client

*I may also cancel or postpone appointments based on perceived risks within the building, giving you as much advanced notice as possible

*An air purifier will be running at all times and I will be using a UV lamp a couple times a week for extra sanitizing

These are stressful times for all.  Please take care of yourselves and be diligent with washing hands and maintaining social distancing. I look forward to the day I get to see you again.

In the meantime, if you have questions, please reach out to me.  913-961-5767
