Second Saturday @ THE DUCK!
Live Music by DAVID LEWIS!
Join us for some great Whistling Duck wine and outstanding live music on Saturday, July 13th.  We're open from Noon to 6 PM.

We welcome to the Front Porch for the very first time, musical artist, David Lewis!   Country roots run deep with David after being raised in the small town of Bellville, Texas. At a young age, David began playing music in church, singing and playing guitar to his favorite country gospels. It wasn’t long until David began playing country music on the opry circuit across Texas, giving him the opportunity to perform with numerous musicians who focused on traditional country. David found himself being drawn to the sounds of Merle Haggard, George Strait, and Alan Jackson. David now combines his classic sound with his amazing lead guitar skills to create a show you won't forget. David’s high energy performance draws a crowd with a playlist of legendary country hits and his originals. David will entertain us from 2 to 5 PM.  For more information, visit David’s website at davidlewismusician.com or his Facebook page David Lewis Music.
2019 GRAPE HARVEST
"TENTATIVELY" - SATURDAY, JULY 13th @ 7:00 AM
Although we aren't totally sure of the final date just yet, there is a very strong possibility that we will be harvesting our Blanc du Bois grapes on Saturday, July 13th at 7:00 AM (the coolest part of the day).  If you are interested in helping us harvest our grapes, send us an email at john@whistlingduckwinery.com and let us know your full name and the name of each person coming with you.  We will limit the number of volunteer slots, so let us know as soon as possible. Each harvest volunteer receives lots of fun while harvesting, a harvest party brunch after harvesting with food, Mimosas and "Winey Marys" (delicious Bloody Marys made with wine), AND a bottle of Whistling Duck wine of your choice to take home with you - all for helping us out with our grape harvest!

All volunteers should be dressed in cool clothing, a hat to protect you from the sun, close-toed shoes, and work/garden gloves, if you want them.  We will furnish the pruners/clippers and lots of water to keep you hydrated.

If the grapes aren't quite ready for harvest on July 13th, we will move the harvest and party to the following Saturday, July 20th.  We will determine the harvest date by the end of next week and will let everyone know.

Summer Music Series @ Whistling Duck!
Live Music by
JOEL HERNANDEZ!
Prodigiously gifted singer, songwriter and guitarist JOÉL Hernandez is just 20, but the pop-rock wunderkind has already absorbed a lifetime of music. Growing up in El Campo, Texas, he soaked up the region’s diverse soundscapes. Through his multi-generational musician family, he learned how to be a thoughtful and emotive songwriter.

He harvested these formative experiences with his masterful debut album. The 12-song album is an eclectic yet cohesive collection of songs, brimming with radio-ready hooks, vibey ensemble interplay, and sage coming-of-age insights.  Joel's songs reflect all the different styles of music he grew up with, two-step music, blues, hard rock, salsa, and Tejano.  All these flavors shaped Joel and that's the diversity he shares with his audience.

Prior to recording and releasing his debut album, Joel honed his performance skills with a bevvy of nationwide gigs—a marquee highlight was his performance at the M Resort in Las Vegas. In addition, as a teen, 38 Special guitarist Jeff Carlisi handpicked JOÉL to be a part of Camp Jam’s prestigious Beatles Tribute Band for two summers in a row.  Check out Joel's music videos at joelheranandez.com .

We are very honored to have Joel entertain us from 2 to 5 PM.  You really don't want to miss this.  We're open from 1 to 6 PM.
COMING - SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 1st!

Special LIVE CONCERT
by
Country Music Artist
BRI BAGWELL
2 to 4:30 PM
We are so lucky to have the very talented and beautiful, BRI BAGWELL, performing a special live concert for us at Whistling Duck Winery from 3 to 4:30 PM.  Bri started her music career at 14 years of age, singing in her twin brothers’ band, juggling the late night gigs with early morning volleyball practice while in high school.
Eschewing volleyball scholarship offers, Bri opted for a chance to live in Austin, TX and attend the University of Texas. She finally got her chance to play live there after teaching herself guitar and playing with a friend.

Bri kept writing and eventually recorded an album and formed “The Banned”, which is a play on words from her song “Banned from Santa Fe”.  After touring with her band over 180 days per year for seven years, this six-time Texas Regional Radio Female Vocalist of the Year has continued to grow her grass-roots and begun to earn the respect of her peers in the Nashville music scene and was invited to participate as a 2019 contestant on the TV talent show - Real Country.  This is one musical performance you will NOT want to miss.

Take a look at some of Bri's wonderful music videos at bribagwell.com.

There is NO COVER CHARGE - this is a special concert presented by the owners of Whistling Duck Winery to all our loyal customers to say "THANK YOU" for your support over the past 5 years. Everyone is invited to this very special event!
