We are entering prime holiday time, so get a disco nap, and get ready for some good times!

We're starting off this Thursday with Ambient Music Night. Ambient music is meant to be passively experienced, so this is a great time to catch up with friends while you hear some interesting sounds and music.

J Candeed is back on Friday with his mandola, kick drum, and snare. This time he has an opening act: Couldn't Be Happiers.

We're so excited about our Halloween for Kids event coming up. We can't wait to see some glorious costumes and eat caramel apples!

GOUGE Wrestling is back with Maul-O-Ween this Sunday. Cheer on the good guys and boo the villains at this all ages event.

This will be the last show of 2025, as November's and December's dates fall on holidays. It will be back on 1/22/26.

This month's artists are Clouds Without Water (Carrboro, Hillsboro), and Doug Llewellyn (Raleigh).

Clouds Without Water is ambient duo Grant Stewart & Angela Winter. Using voice and electronics, Clouds Without Water's sonic textures and soundscapes evoke mystery and serenity at the same time.

Doug Llewellyn is a Raleigh based multi-instrumentalist whose main interests lie in electronic and experimental music. Those of you who are familiar with his work know that he can swing from textural meanderings to frenetic sequences, depending on his mood and whatever toys he is featuring.

By definition, ambient music is meant to be passively experienced. Though you can certainly concentrate on what's being played, you don't necessarily have to. The idea is to create a mood, an atmosphere, where people can hang out, have a snack and a cup of coffee, shop, or just listen to some music you probably haven't heard before. Hopefully you'll notice what's being played enough to show your appreciation to the artists.

J Candeed is back this Friday playing solo with his "suitcase" of percussion.

If you haven't seen (or heard) him yet, you're in for a treat! With an upbeat and evolving sound, he blends elements of the hill-country blues, traditional bluegrass and psychedelic groove using a mandola, kick and snare drum.

Married indie folk rock duo, Couldn't Be Happiers, are opening for him. Described by Doug Davis of Flytrap Studios as “Violent Femmes meets Johnny and June,” this married songwriting duo joyfully blends rock, pop, bluegrass, and folk into a sound that is uniquely their own.

This Sunday, we're bringing the spooky with our Halloween for Kids event!

This will be a fun (and safe) day for families with lots of fun mini-events:

So grab that costume and come on by for some fun!
