Poetry Night + Halle Wood + 4/20 Adult Easter Egg Hunt

REBUS IS BUDDING...IN MORE WAYS THAN ONE
Somehow, we’ve already made it halfway through the first full month of spring, and it’s really starting to show. The days are stretching longer, the sun’s making more consistent appearances, and the weather is slowly shedding its winter funk in favor of something warmer and brighter. The flowers we’ve been planting are finally starting to pop, and so is our calendar, because events are blooming just as fast.

With everything we’ve got planned, you’re in for a serious treat. From pop-ups and workshops to market days and a few surprises we can’t spill *just* yet, the season ahead at Rebus is shaping up to be one of our most exciting thus far!

And if you needed another reason to stop by, our drinks menu just got a full spring makeover—fresh flavors, seasonal ingredients, and some ice to balance out the NC heat. Whether you’re dropping in for an event, browsing the shop, or just hanging out with a drink, we’re here to bring a touch of Cheers-style community to your spring.
PRODUCT SPOTLIGHT:
The Pleasant Bee Honey
The Pleasant Bee Honey $16.00 - $40.00
We’re fully stocked on honey just in time for allergy season! We’re always excited to use The Pleasant Bee behind the counter at Rebus, and you can find their delicious honey on our shelves, too.

The Pleasant Bee is a family-run beekeeping business based in Raleigh, producing small-batch, raw, and unpasteurized honey. Their honey is gently strained—never heated or filtered—so it retains all the natural pollens, enzymes, and nutrients. The bees forage primarily on tulip poplar trees and seasonal wildflowers across multiple Wake County locations, including Willow Springs, Garner, and Apex, giving the honey a rich, complex flavor that changes slightly with the seasons.
Persian Carpet Zinnia Hudson Valley Seed Co.
Persian Carpet Zinnia Hudson Valley Seed Co. $5.00
There's still plenty of time to plant seeds!

Also, we’re pretty sure we’ve just stocked up on the most beautiful seed packets around. If you think this one is stunning, wait until you see the rest.

Hudson Valley Seed Company is a New York-based seed company that offers a diverse range of organic, open-pollinated, and heirloom seeds. Founded in 2008, the company’s mission is rooted in sustainability, crop diversity, and preserving rare and unique plant varieties. Their offerings include seeds for vegetables, flowers, and herbs, many of which are hard-to-find or special heirloom varieties—and now we have them at Rebus! Committed to organic farming and local sourcing, two things we hold near and dear, Hudson Valley Seed Company ensures that all of their seeds are free from genetic modification.

POETRY NIGHT@REBUS
Got poems? We want to hear them.

Join us at Rebus Works for an evening of poetic expression, community, and creative energy in celebration of National Poetry Month. This time around, we’re going all in on the open mic—no scheduled readers, no headliners, just an open floor for voices of all kinds.

Whether you’re a seasoned poet, a first-time reader, or just looking to soak in some good words, all are welcome. Bring your own work to share—or read a favorite piece by a poet you love. To add a little texture to the night, a few readers (including the host, local poet Josh Tvrdy) will be mixing in selections from iconic poets who represent the spirit of National Poetry Month.

The mic opens at 6:00pm. Come early to sign up, grab a seat, and get inspired.
Let’s make poetry happen—together.

HALLE WOOD: LIVE @ REBUS
Ever since C. Grace closed its doors, Raleigh’s appetite for live jazz has only grown stronger. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce that Halle Wood, accompanied by pianist Rony Thomas, will be performing at Rebus this Saturday!

Halle Wood, a New Orleans native now based in Raleigh, brings a rich jazz heritage and dynamic stage presence to her live performances—like this one at Rebus! Influenced by the great jazz vocalists of the ’40s and ’50s, Halle began her career performing in legendary jazz venues and honed her craft at Berklee College of Music and Loyola University. A skilled scat singer with a background shaped by mentors like Grammy-winning drummer Adonis Rose, she now teaches music by day and shares her passion at local jazz jam sessions by night.

Come soak in the soulful sounds and keep the spirit of jazz alive with us!

4/20 ADULT EASTER EGG HUNT
It’s 4/20. It’s Easter weekend. And Rebus is about to make this holiday mind-bendingly fun.

You’d think the name says it all, but this 4/20 Adult Easter Egg Hunt is somehow even better than it sounds. Alongside the hunt for eggs filled with adult-worthy prizes, we’re welcoming three of our favorite Delta 8 and Delta 9-focused brands to help set the vibe: Groove Wagon (yes, they’re bringing slushies!), High Rise, and Kaya.

HURRICANE HELENE RELIEF ON OUR WEBSITE
We are still reeling from the events that impacted our neighbors in the mountains, and we’re taking action by gathering GoFundMe campaigns and featuring them on our relief page. Many of the businesses we’ve reached out to that are still open have asked us to showcase their products, as they’re eager to attract autumn visitors. We’re also in the process of securing more of their offerings, so remember to think of Rebus when you begin your holiday shopping.
