Ambient Thursday + Vinyl Night + Danger Hall

YEP, IT'S HOT
It's...
     Hotter than a stolen tamale
     Hotter than the devil's bathwater
Hotter than a jalapeno eating contest in a sauna
     Hotter than satan's house cat
Hotter than a red-headed roofer in July
Hotter than a fire hydrant chasing a dog

If the sweat is rolling down your face in a continuous pour, then you need to get to Rebus STAT! Our new AC unit is pumping out so much beautiful cold air, you may need a sweater!

What's even better than the sweet tang and coolness of air conditioner? Rebus specialty drinks and music! We've just released our new summer drinks menu featuring some delicious (and detoxifying) lemonades and mochas. Music is starting Thursday night with Ambient Thursday, Friday's Vinyl Night, and Live Music featuring Danger Hall on Saturday. We apologize if you sweat even more from all the dancing.

AMBIENT THURSDAY
Tune in...or tune out, it's up to you on Ambient Music Night. Ambient music is the best of both worlds: the perfect background if you're still doing a bit of work, and a soothing soundtrack to relax to after a busy day!

This month's artists are:
Spacepants (@spacepantsmusic) and host Doug Llewellyn (@doug_whoever)

SpacePants (Raleigh, Los Angeles) is a virtuosic viola/voice duo who wears space pants and is guided by a TUBE from outer space. The TUBE is an InterGalacticDIYDadaist performance artist animated by a group of RAD Aliens (Andromeda Galaxy). At the command of the TUBE, SpacePants brings their own and others’ works of art to life here on Earth.

Doug Llewellyn (Raleigh) has been working on something new for a little while and thought this would be a good opportunity to try it out in a live setting. This will be his first solo gig not playing under an alias.

Thursday, 6/26, 6-8pm

HURRICANE HELENE RELIEF ON OUR WEBSITE
We are still reeling from the events that impacted our neighbors in the mountains, and we’re taking action by gathering GoFundMe campaigns and featuring them on our relief page. Many of the businesses we’ve reached out to that are still open have asked us to showcase their products, as they’re eager to attract autumn visitors. We’re also in the process of securing more of their offerings, so remember to think of Rebus when you begin your holiday shopping.

For more information on how you can help Western NC directly, go to our Hurricane Helene Relief page here.
