After the success of our Summer Drop-in Program we realized that there are many pottery students out there that enjoy a less structured learning experience. We have added our new Choose Your Own Clay Adventure class for these individuals. Perfect for people ages 18 and up who want to learn about ceramics but feel that the rigidity of a traditional class does not suit their needs.
This class is appropriate for people with some clay experience but beginners are welcome. It is geared towards self-starters that are good at setting their own path. Unlike our Beginner & Intermediate Wheel Thrown Pottery or Hand Built Pottery, student interest will guide the demos. Each session we will discuss what each person would like to learn that day and how to achieve their objectives. You are able to work in wheel throwing or hand building or both!
If you want to learn to throw more advanced forms casseroles or plates, mix your own slip, make glazes, create sculptures, just get better at making handles, whatever your burning questions and pottery needs we will be there to help.
