🌻 Sweet Summer Solstice 💗

Welcome back! 

 And Happy Summer Solstice (next Friday) 

I'm writing a bit early for this newsletter, as I will be at a bodywork intensive during the coming week. I am really looking forward to it! Not only to receiving some spectacular bodywork, also observing bodywork, and learning about the opportunity to integrate more touch and bodywork into my practice. It has been truly transformative so far, and I know there is so much more depth for me here.  Between this intensive and a dance workshop toward the end of the month, I feel like I am investing some much-needed time into Me: touch, movement, music, creativity, meditation, hot springs, and rest. 

Rejuvenation! Regenerative Energy! Restoration!

How are you investing in yourself?? 

Summer is a great time to build or update your altar, as there is an abundance of foliage and symbolism associated with the season and with the solstice. Summer is a fire season - the sun and symbols representing the sun, long hot days, heat, passion, and summer love. Flowers and herbs can be found everywhere; making potions, lotions, teas, plus meals with the bountiful fruits and veggies available can be a fun way to express some creativity. Other symbols of summer include faeries, who come out to play amidst the fragrant flowers and dense vegetation, equal arm crosses bringing good luck and representing the four quarters of the year, and spirals, associated with the fertility of the season.
