Open Mic + J Candeed + Gluten-Free Baked Goods

We slowed down a bit last month, but now we're back with a packed calendar!

We've got some amazing events coming up, like a Broom Making Workshop (9/16, 10/14, 10/28) and the Boylan Arts District Studio Tour (9/28).

We've also been talking to more musicians to get you more great music nights. We're kicking things off this week with our second Open Mic Night on Thursday. J Candeed and The Particle Accelerators are playing Saturday. You won't want to miss their catchy, psychedelic and bluesy music.

We've been adding more solo musicians to our calendar under the 'Solo Music Sunday' heading. This is a great way to check out some new talent in Raleigh.

Of course, weekend nights have a lot of our heavy hitters, like the Raleigh greats of Danger Hall, playing here on Saturday, 9/19! This month's guest musician will be Dave Wright (of Countdown Quartet, Squirrel Nut Zippers, 6 String Drag, TONK, Boneslinger, and more).

So get a nap in while you can, because you won't want to miss anything!

The magical world of BonBon was founded in 2018 by friends Bobby, Leo and Selim to sweeten and revolutionize the US candy world; through a love for their homeland and its sweet and savory treats. Since launching their Lower East Side retail location, community events and online efforts, they have become the destination for anyone with a sweet or savory tooth for Scandinavian treats.

They believe that everyone should be able to enjoy BonBon candy, and they strive to have as many of their products as possible be vegan, gluten-free and made with natural colorants (both the Sour Elderflower Fish and Wild Strawberry Fish are). All candies are made by a small factory in the south of Sweden.

● Fly By Jing’s Mala Spice Mix - Herbaceous, with notes of fennel, cardamom, and clove. Lightly spicy, with minimal heat coming from the Erjingtiao chili pepper, a staple of Szechuan cooking.

● The spice is mixed with chocolate and served as a mocha.

● Earthy, mild peaflower gives the drink its vibrant hue. When mixed with citrus, peaflower changes from blue to purple, which will give this lemonade a lavender color

We are still reeling from the events that impacted our neighbors in the mountains, and we’re taking action by gathering GoFundMe campaigns and featuring them on our relief page.
