Quick Bites from Pensacola Cooks: Fall Flavorful Food Fun Edition 2026

Fall into Flavorful Food Fun!
Fall is just around the corner, bringing a delicious new season of cooking, learning, and gathering together at Pensacola Cooks! Even when the Gulf Coast temperatures still feel like summer, our kitchens are ready for the comforting flavors of apples, pumpkin, pecans, sweet potatoes, warm spices, hearty dishes, freshly baked treats, and everything we love about Fall.

In this edition of Quick Bites, we’re serving up seasonal favorites in the Recipe Corner, exciting Adult Culinary Classes, and monthly cooking adventures for our PCKids Jr. Chefs & Homeschool Chefs.

We are especially excited about the return of our Ladies Night Out  class after a summer hiatus. Join Chef Daniel Watts, owner of Stoic Culinary and
The Wet Taco, on September 25 for a night to remember!

We’ll also celebrate our local food entrepreneurs in Commissary Connection, shine our Community Focus on Autism Pensacola and Culinary Ministries, and share some of the wonderful comments we’ve received in "Thanks for Your Feedback".

So grab your apron and join us as we cook our way into a new season filled with Fall Flavorful Food Fun!

Happy Cooking!

Fall Flavors Made for Game Day
Nacho Average Nachos!

At Pensacola Cooks, we love everything about football season—especially the food! We may be a house divided between college football and professional football, but there’s one thing that always brings everyone together:
a big, delicious plate of nachos.

This season, turn game day into family cooking fun
by getting everyone involved in building a winning nacho lineup.
From savory, cheesy, loaded creations to
unexpected sweet fall-inspired nachos, everyone can choose a favorite,
add their own toppings, and pile on the flavor.

Whether you’re tailgating (we have a class about that in October!), watching from the couch, or cheering for different teams, nachos are the perfect shareable food for
bringing everyone back to the same table.

So pick your team, grab your toppings, and get ready to score big with
Fall Flavorful Nachos!

BBQ Pulled Pork & Apple Nachos
Pile tortilla chips with warm pulled pork, cheddar cheese, thinly sliced apples, pickled red onions, and barbecue sauce. Top with crunchy apple-cabbage slaw after baking.
Buffalo Chicken Sweet Potato Nachos
Use roasted sweet potato slices instead of chips. Top with buffalo chicken, cheddar or Monterey Jack, celery, green onions, and a drizzle of ranch or blue cheese dressing
Apple Pie Nachos
Cinnamon-sugar tortilla chips topped with warm sautéed apples, caramel drizzle, chopped pecans, and fresh whipped cream.
Pear, Brie & Pecan Nachos
Top toasted pita chips with thin pear slices, small pieces of Brie, toasted pecans, and a drizzle of honey. Bake just until the Brie softens.
