🌕 Blessed Samhain, and full moon! 🌕
Samhain ("summer's end") is the halfway point between the Fall Equinox and the Winter Solstice, falling on October 31 / November 1. It coincides with Halloween and Dia de los Muertos, is often near the end of daylight savings time, and this year only a few days before this glorious full moon. Pagans often refer to it as the beginning of the darker half of the year, and it is when the veil between the living and spirit worlds is the thinnest.
For me, this is a time of final shedding and a turn inward for winter. It may also be a good time to start "planting seeds," or setting intentions for internal tending during the long, dark winter. The passionate fire of summer has subsided, and the final harvest has come to a close. Hecate, the goddess of witches, has been visiting me frequently. She presides over the heavens & the underworld, the earth & the seas, crossroads & thresholds, and magick & witchcraft. She is often depicted as a multifaced goddess, surrounded by dogs and snakes, holding a lighted torch and keys. I will be spending my winter with Hecate, learning about why she has been visiting and what she has to teach me.
Personally, a lot has been brewing lately! I recently assisted with a workshop facilitated by a friend and colleague, which reignited my fire to be creating more of my own workshops and classes! So I will be working on that; keep an eye out for announcements (soon, hopefully!)
What kind of workshop or class would YOU be interested in attending?? I want to hear from you!!
I am also still lit up by the idea of creating new experiences for you: by yourself, with your friends, your family, your partners.. Let's cultivate!
My tender heart is feeling stronger and braver, and I am giving far fewer fucks, in general! It is incredibly liberating. I have a sweet new pup at home, who is a complete snuggle monster (pics at the bottom of this newsletter 💗). It feels so good to have a little soul to give my love and care to so completely.
Sending you lots of love and snuggles from here, until next time 💋
