July @ Booked: WALDO on the MDM and more!

Summer's in Full Swing @ Booked!
Hello hello hello! July is nearly here, and with it, we at Booked welcome our seasonal overlords: mosquitos, travel fomo, and WALDO. That's right--we're bringing everyone's favorite stripe-wearing world traveler back to the Main-Dempster Mile for the first time in *years*! If you've never played Where's Waldo IRL, you're in for a treat (and prizes, and a party!). See below for all the details on how to play next month.

We also want to tell you about a very cool event we participated in this week: the Wall Street Journal's Global Food Forum brought together "leaders from every corner of the food industry and agricultural economy to explore the forces shaping the future." We were on-hand to sell books by three of the speakers: Founder and Former CEO of Panera Bread Ron Shaich, organic farming icon Will Harris, and chef, restauranteur, public policy advocate, and legend, Alice Waters. And now we have signed copies of all three authors' works at Booked, include Waters' THE ART OF SIMPLE FOOD, FANNY AT CHEZ PANISSE (a cookbook for kids!), IN THE GREEN KITCHEN, and WE ARE WHAT WE EAT: A SLOW FOOD MANIFESTO. Copies of these are limited, so come see us to pick one up for the chef in your life!

And now: read on for Waldo, events, book clubs and more!
WHERE'S WALDO?! All Over the Main-Dempster Mile!
See that image up there? A whopping 23 Main-Dempster Mile businesses will hide a Waldo in-store on July 1, and it's your (or your kid's!) job to find them! You can pick up a Waldo Passport at Booked or any participating businesses, collect stamps/stickers/initials as you find your Waldos over the course of the month, and bring them back to us once you find ten Waldos for prizes and coupons, while supplies last! And then you're invited to join us for a grand prize drawing on Saturday, July 28, at 1:00pm!

ALL the details are right on the MDM's website, at the button below! We're thankful for their support and to so many of our neighbors for participating--in our unending season of construction, we hope you'll keep showing up for all of the MDM businesses!
