Our resident caretaker and three WWOOF volunteers have lost all their belongings and housing. 30 artists who relied on studio space in the building have lost their artwork and workspace. Irreplaceable history dating back to the early 1900s, when the building served as an orphanage operated by the Benedictine Sisters, has been destroyed.
We also grieve alongside our many wonderful volunteers and members who considered St. Joseph’s a second home or a peaceful getaway.
Thank you deeply for your generosity, prayers, kind words, and support during this difficult time. We will continue to share updates regularly.
Due to the danger PLEASE do not come to the property. There is structural damage and debris that make things unsafe.
