Grocery Bags + Dog Brunch + Art Opening + J Candeed

LET'S COME TOGETHER
Times are getting tight for quite a few of us with SNAP unfunded and federal employees being furloughed right now.

We’ve seen that Trickle Down Economics doesn’t work. Here at Rebus Works, we believe in DRIP DOWN ECONOMICS—an initiative designed to support those who have been furloughed and those affected by SNAP.

We believe in the power of unity and community, striving to create a welcoming environment where everyone can come together as a support network.

If you need help, come on by and see us. If you want to help, here are ways you can contribute:

--DRIP COFFEE: Anyone in need can come in and receive a FREE cup of drip coffee on us! ☕️
--GROCERY BAG: We’ll be collecting funds this week for our Grocery Bag program, and will distribute bags of groceries to anyone in need next week—no questions asked, just a name to put on the bag! 🛒 (If you’d like to help, please consider donating a bag or two!)
--BUY IT FOR A BUDDY: You can purchase food or drink items for those who need a little help.

Together, let’s ensure no one goes hungry while we build a stronger community!

ART OPENING
SHERRY DI FILIPPO'S A TENUOUS TALE
Sherry Difilippo is an artist and educator working in Raleigh, North Carolina. She earned her BFA in Art Education from Meredith College and an MFA, with a focus in drawing, from the New York Academy of Art.

A Tenuous Tale explores the pursuit of home and belonging, often in conflict with forces that resist or deny them. This is a struggle many face, though not on equal footing—an increasingly heavy burden for younger generations.

Saturday, 11/8, 6-8pm

LIVE MUSIC: J CANDEED
J Candeed is back for Solo Sunday with his "suitcase" of percussion.

If you haven't seen (or heard) him yet, you're in for a treat! With an upbeat and evolving sound, he blends elements of the hill-country blues, traditional bluegrass and psychedelic groove using a mandola, kick and snare drum.

Chris McGinnis will be opening for him. Through tales of stolen Winnebagos and hip-shaking grandbabies, Chris' music is Appalachian absurdity for the 21st Century.

Saturday, 11/1, 6-8pm
