Hope, calm, kindness and food

Hope: we hope our customers are healthy, and want to again extend our thanks, for your unwavering/overwhelming support.
Calm: During this time, we at Springfield Farm remind ourselves hourly to remain calm, take deep breaths, look around our farm, and remind ourselves that we have fresh air to breathe, water to drink, food to eat, loved ones to share our days with, and so many more things to be thankful for, including our customers!
Kindness: While working in our farm store this past weekend, I expressed my thanks to each of our customers as they gathered their purchases, wished them a healthy and happy weekend/coming week, and asked them to be kind to others. This was my wish, for as I told each customer, this is not 'me against you/you against me', this is us against the Coronavirus/COVID-19, and we all need to come together and support one another, however we can. That can be as simple as being kind to someone, a stranger or a loved one, who may be stressed, overwhelmed, scared, or just needs a kind word from their fellow human being. And then, in turn, someone may be kind to you at a moment when you least expect it, and it brings you some comfort, during this difficult and unprecedented time.
Food: And finally, I have encouraging news regarding our products. Our meat butcher, and our poultry processor, are both working long hours each day this week, to process and package more of our meats and poultry, so we can stock up/replenish for you, our customers. We predict our farm store will have a significant amount of product this weekend, for both those who have
pre-ordered items, and for those who will come out to shop at their leisure.
We will be open our regular hours: Fri/Sat/Sun, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
All pre-orders will be available for pick up via a separate farm staff worker, to help expedite transactions. Email pre-orders are still being accepted.
The Sunday Bethesda Farmer's Market will be allowed to remain in it's current location, at the Bethesda Elementary School. We are taking pre-orders for the market, to be picked up this Sunday, via email. Simply send us a list of items you would like reserved, including quantity/weight/description. We will do our best to fill orders as they are received, and ask that you use your discretion when ordering, so we can provide everyone with product in the coming weeks.
