Safe and Clean Boating Open House

Ballena Bay Yacht Club and Safe Harbor Ballena Isle 
Mariners and boats can get a little rusty during a long, rainy winter. Let’s ease some of the barnacles off our brains with some updates on how to keep ourselves, and the Bay, protected.
Saturday, June 1 will be a fun, “one stop shopping” event, all are welcome! Benefit from any or all the following free events: 

 Presentations located at BBYC: 
10:00 - 11:30am: 
“Clean Boating” regulations, quiz, the California Clean Boater Kit, and more. with Vivian Matuk, CA State Parks Division of Boating and Waterways, and Liz Juvera, San Francisco Estuary Partnership 
12:00 – 1:30pm:
 “Partner in Command” seminar with Lu Abel, from the US Power Squadron 
 2:00 – 3:30pm:
 “Crew Overboard Recovery” seminar with Joe Brandt, Assistant School Director Club Nautique 

 Other events running throughout the day
10:00am - 12:00pm: Best Fire Extinguisher COST: will vary
Are you in the “green zone”? Is the bottom of the canister rusted? Did you miss a recall notice? There will be a technician located in our parking lot to inspect your fire extinguishers. 
 10:00am – 2:00pm: Courtesy Boat Inspections, offered by the US Power Squadron. COST: Free (Boat inspections located at E Dock, the new finger)
