Join us for a family friendly bikeathon, cookout, and raffle all for the best cause!
We will be hosting a family friendly cookout, bikeathon, and raffle extravaganza! We have opportunities for everyone to contribute to this worthy cause.
Bikeathon - If you know Bob Hoffman, you know he loves to bike the summers away. We are choosing one of his favorite treks from last summer (see information below). Round up a team or do it solo. Cover the distance on an assault bike (or rower) in the gym, or take to the streets and bike it for real! Teams are asked to raise money towards this cause, and every member raising $100 or more will receive a free Bob Strong or CrossOver T-shirt.
Family Cookout - Thanks to generous donations from local people and business, we will be offering a by donation cookout for lunch. Hot dogs, hamburgers, classic bbq sides, desserts, and drinks will be part of your meal. You may eat for free, or donate whatever you are comfortable with, all proceeds going towards the Bob Strong Fundraiser. Activity leaders will be on hand to run some fun kids games and activities for the young ones. Food will be served beginning around 12:00pm.
Raffles - We have a huge amount of prizes ready to be raffled off thanks to generous donations from our community members. You may put your tickets towards whatever prizes catch your eye, and we will draw the winners at the end of the event. See a list of current raffle items below, with many more to be added over the next few weeks.
We are looking for volunteers to help with this event as well as donations towards the raffle. If you know of anyone, or any business, that might be interested in helping, please direct them to Katie (email@example.com or 207-500-0191.)
Teams can be made up of as many people as you would like.
Individuals that raise over $100 will receive a complimentary CrossOver Fitness or #BobStrong t-shirt.
We have 8 assault bikes available to participate in the gym (and 8 rowers if desired). First come, first served. Individuals can choose to bring their bikes and complete the real course on the road, but know this will be of your own volition and there will be no course guidance or assistance at any time.
Our #BobStrong route is called “3 Harbors Ride” and is one of his favorite routes, modified to start and end at Crossover. The bike route/distance is about 30 miles in length.
Donations must be collected in cash. Donations are not tax-deductible.
We will sell tickets for $2 each or 12 tickets for $20. Stop by CrossOver Fitness at 52 Sanford Rd in Wells during normal business hours starting Monday June 21 to enter the raffles ahead of time if you are unable to attend on the 26th but would still like to participate.
