Here’s your fun (and simple) pre-tan checklist to maximize your glow and get the best results:
→ 1️⃣Exfoliate 24 Hours Before
Gently exfoliate your entire body to remove dead skin cells — this gives your spray tan solution a smooth canvas to work on. Use an oil-free scrub, dry brush, or exfoliating glow. Even sugar added to your usual body wash works wonders.
→ 2️⃣Shave or Wax at Least 24 Hours Ahead
Hair removal needs time for your pores to close so your tan will go on evenly and avoid what we call “strawberry skin” texture.
→3️⃣Skip Lotion, Makeup, & Deodorant the Day Of
On the day of your appointment: no lotions, oils, deodorant, makeup, or perfume — these can create a barrier and interfere with how the tanning solution develops.
→ 4️⃣Wear Loose, Dark Clothing
After your session, your skin is freshly coated with a cosmetic bronzer mixed with the active ingredient in spray tan solution. Any tight or light-colored outfit might rub off the solution causing unevenness. Opt for something dark and comfy — flip-flops or sandals work great!
→ 5️⃣ Remove Jewelry & Plan Around Water
Take off all rings, bracelets, watches to avoid lines or smudging during your tan. And remember: avoid sweating, swimming or showering before your tan has fully developed.
⭐️Bonus Tip
Tie up hair or bring a headband if needed. If it’s raining outside, bring an umbrella and some covered shoes so your glow stays perfect. This is your pamper session, your Fairy Glow Momma will treat you like the glow-queen you are.
