Join the first annual Chamomile Festival WALK/BIKE/RUN at Willowbrook Manor

Spend a day in the country. Willowbrook Manor's Chamomile Festival offers a walkathon, bike ride, fun-run like none other. Breakfast, lunch, bits of history, and even the opportunity to pick chamomile are part of the experience. This is an 8-mile round trip walk/bike/run, but there is a shuttle between Lyman and Willowbrook for those who only want to do 4 miles. The cost is $60 and you will want to allow 4 to 8 hours.

Your adventure begins at Willowbrook Manor English Teahouse and Farm Stay, where time goes a little slower. This is where you set your cares aside and enjoy the tranquility of the countryside.

You will sip tea and nibble on sweet-cream scones under the summer tea tent, enjoying pastoral and mountain views.

Bring your bike, or put on your tennis shoes to walk/run the four miles through forest, farmland, and along the Skagit River to the sleepy town of Lyman, WA. The Cascade Trail is far from any kind of car traffic.

This Walk/Bike/Run is different than most. It is not a race, but a journey to be savored. There are benches along the way to rest and enjoy the views.

There are also tour posts along the route that share the history of east Skagit Valley. Whether you are walking, running, or biking, the posts provide a fun little stop to discover stories and pictures of people from days gone by.

Round trip to Lyman and back to Willowbrook Manor is 8 miles. Once back to Willowbrook, you can pick chamomile to take home with you.

Chamomile is easy to dry to make your own tea. Place in a warm oven overnight, or simply leave out on the counter until dry.
