We have been so excited to see some familiar faces, and be back in the city we love. However, as we came back there have been changes in the environment that have made it unsafe for us to operate in that location. With the vandalizations, the upswing of Asian hate, and general shifts in the culture coupled with the fact that carts are often run by a single person, we have made the difficult decision to close our downtown location indefinitely. We will remain open at Corner 14 in Oregon City. Our last day at the Portland location will be Friday, July 9th.
We have been in the food cart industry in PDX since the 90's, and have seen Portland grow and thrive through many stages. We know that the city will bounce back. Like the rose bushes have their seasons, we know the City of Roses will bloom again and hopefully we will feel safe to return.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support, and we hope to see you in Oregon City where we will continue to serve delicious and healthy vegan Japanese food!
